Key Features
The module utilises a high-fidelity resonant band pass filter, two voltage-controlled decay envelopes, multi-mode noise generator, a high fidelity VCA and a voltage-controlled diode wave multiplier. The user has ultimate control of these thanks to every parameter on the module being voltage controllable.

A huge range of controls on the Entity Percussion Synthesizer allow you to create interesting and unique patches. An innovative ‘Body’ control simulates the tightening of a drumhead. By utilising this, the sound can be varied from soft and muted to flabby and bass heavy. A pitch control affects the frequency of the resonant filter. The control range from 8Hz to 2.2kHz can be expanded when inputting internal and external control voltage sources.
The ‘Harmonics’ control increases the number of overtones heard via the main sound source. This effect can be used to subtly add analog character to your signal source. Alternatively, this control can be used to create extreme harmonic sound effects.
The ‘Ring’ knob controls the resonant decay time independently from the modulation controls. Thanks to the ‘Ring’ control being independent, the Entity Percussion Synthesizer is able to achieve sounds ranging from short and plucky to long ringing effects. Even without the ring control being utilised, the filter within the Entity Percussion Synthesizer is tuned to produce a small amount of resonance.
The output section features various modes. When ‘Noise-filter’ mode is enabled, the output section is dedicated to the resonator volume level and the overall output level of the Entity Percussion Synthesizer. The ‘Mix’ switch can be used to change the output control’s application to the internal resonator, external source or a mix of both. This gives the user great possibility to create unique sounds with the module.
Borrowed from the popular Quantom Rainbow 2, the noise generator has three separate noise settings that can be fed into the modules resonant filter, harmonics processor and main VCA. Each setting provides a different starting signal to build upon throughout the Entity Percussion Synthesizer and your current modular setup.
Two voltage controllable decay envelopes modulate the frequency or volume of the resonator and noise. Both the resonator and noise generator decay time have independent controls. To create authentic, snare-like sounds, the ‘Delay’ control provides voltage-controlled delay to the resonator decay envelope. This can also be utilised when layering internal and external sources.
The ‘FM LVL’ control is a bipolar attenuator for controlling the frequency modulation depth of the resonator. The switch directly below the ‘FM LVL’ control allows the user to select between the internal resonator decay envelope, a mix of the decay envelope and external FM CV source, or the external FM CV source only. Another feature that provides ultimate control over your analog signal.
