The Tiptop Audio BitRot Bit Manipulation is a bit-based effects and manipulation expansion chip, designed for use with the Tiptop Z-DSP module. It provides you with a collection of 9 waveform combos and bit-manipulation effects, ideal for sound design applications. You can use the BitRot expansion card as a way to manipulate your modular sounds, from distorting synth sounds to adding subtle ring modulation. You can also achieve stereo spreading effects for a more immersive sound.
The combination of 8 varying effects and a wide range of waveform combos means you can experiment with your effects. The Bit-Rot parameters is used to set the harshness in the nonlinear combo of the dual inputs. You can increase this level to add more destructive properties to your sound, creating a harsh tone for a range of applications. Each of the effects including a ring mod of the output signal with the right input. The right output is a copy of the left output that is inverted and delayed from 0ms to 100ms. It is also controllable by the dly-r parameter, allowing you to achieve stereo and panning effects with ease.
