The Vibe-O-Verb pedal creates ambient reverbs that can be adjusted and used to create new sounds and textures. The pedal simulates a changing reflective surface and accelerating reference points to produce a reverb that is unique and musical. The reverb has been designed with a delay space that follows the Fibonacci series, which is also known as the golden ratio and is used to discover natural beauty.
The pedal possesses four control knobs for shaping the effect to suit your playing style. The depth control is used to adjust the depth of the modulation, increasing the depth with result in a deeper reverb. The decay control adjusts the amount of time taken for the reverb to decay, increasing the decay will make the reverb’s decay longer. The rate control adjusts the rate/speed of the modulation, increasing the rate will result in a faster reverberation. The pedals blend control adjusts the effects output, blending the original signal with a wet signal.
Keeley’s Vibe-O-Verb features three different modes to choose from, offering a variety of different types of reverbs. The Harmonic mode offers a reverb that’s similar to the Keeley Dynatrem, creating a harmonic tremolo on the reverb. In this mode the reverb produced features sharp, irregular tremolo with a beautiful hint of vibe to create dynamic dimensions.
The vibrato mode offers a pitch bending reverb, creating mild chorus’ to spacy tones. This mode provides a modulation reverb with the source moving around and the reverberations being bounced off moving surfaces. The Phaser mode provides a phaser modulation reverb, offering a mild reverb that provides space around the notes. The phaser creates the illusion that the reflective surfaces are morphing from one substance to another, creating dynamic reflections in new spaces.
