The Preamp Module features a variety of 7 different preamplifer effects; the Compressor effect controls the dynamic of the signal, the Limiter avoids overload by limiting the high level signals, and Boost enhances the gain and dynamics of the signal for a more powerful effect. The NR effect reduces the noise of the input signal, whilst Auto Wah creates a recurrent wah wah sound without automatically, Sense Wah adjusts itself according the the input intensity, and there is also a Manual Wah effect that can be controlled via the expression pedal.
The Transducer Module is loaded with a whopping 13 effect types, these all offer excellent versatility for a dynamic performance. The Tube effect simulates the warm, smooth drive sound of a classic tube preamplifier, Overdrive delivers a natural drive effect, Distortion provides a smooth, distorted sound whilst Fuzz offers a classic, fierce fuzz sound. The Grunge effect delivers a dark and dirty sound, whilst Beast offers a powerful and offensive vocal effect; Low, Mid and High Cut all cut the corresponding frequency. Other effects include Radio, Telephone and Megaphone for unique simulation effects and LoFi creates a rough low fidelity effect.
Within the EQ module, the tone can be shaped using the Low, Mid and High controls by altering the frequencies. The Value can control the Gain parameters, and the additional Presence setting is for controlling the ultra high band where the central frequency is 8kHz.
The Modulation module features a variety of 12 different effects, including Chorus for adding a shining dimension to the sound, Flanger which delivers a spacey and swirling effect and Talk Flanger for adding even more depth to the effect. There is Phaser which delivers a wavering and pulsing effect, as well as Step Phaser for a more dramatic sweeping sound; whilst Tremolo and Vibrato offer fluctuations in pitch and volume. Finally, the Vem Box also features Filter, Ring and Stutter for enhancing your sound with a whole range of unique and quirky effects. The Rate control is for adjusting the speed of the effects with the exception of Ring, which can be altered using the Frequency control.
There are 3 different voice harmonies, which include Voice 1 that transfers the pitch and blend with the original, and the harmony range can be controlled from -12 to +12 semitones. Voice 2 and Voice 3 create 2 and 3 pitch shift sounds, and each parameter corresponds to a 2 and 3 Voices Harmony sound. There is also Double effect which is for adjusting the depth of the doubling effect; Pitch Shift which controls the pitch range from -12 to +12 semitones and the Detune mode is for controlling the pitch range from 1 cent to 30 cents.
Within the Delay module, there are 6 different delay types to experiment with, including Digital for a clean and clear delay effect, Analog for a warm, vintage effect and Modulation enhances the delay effect with chorus, for a spacey and airy sound. There is also a Tape Echo for recreating the distinctive, and characteristic sound of a Tape Echo Machine, whilst the Echo effect offers an authentic, smooth and natural delay sound, and finally the Delay Time control allows you to set a delay time ranging from 10ms to 1500ms.
The Reverb Module is loaded with 7 different reverberation effects which can all be adjusted by the expression pedal to control the level of decay. There are Room, Chamber, Hall and Church effects, which each simulate the acoustics of different sized spaces for an atmospheric ambience. The Vem Box is also loaded with Plate effect for a shiny and metallic sound, Modulation enhances the effect with spacey chorus, whilst the Decay setting is for controlling the amount of desired decay for the reverb.
The Vem Box's Vocoder module delivers good vocal effects, wthat makes it appear as though the instrument is talking, the Robot effect is self explanatory and delivers a monotone, robotic voice, whereas the Whisper effect offers a quiet, eerie effect. The Value controls the effects' gender, for deep tonal shaping.
