Markbass Little Mark IV 300 Bass Amp Head Overview
The Markbass Little Mark IV 300 U Bass Amp Head is a compact and lightweight bass head, that still holds an incredibly warm natural tone. Innovation is key, and building off the Little Mark III the Mark IV comes with some fantastic new additions, all of which have been heavily requested by their artists and customers. A new bi-band limiter responds faster and more dynamically to your playing, allowing you to add nuances to your booming bass. An updated four-band EQ offers effective controls to easily personalise your sound, either boosting or cutting up to 16dB for all four bands.
Volume isn't an issue with this bass head. A line out level control knob offers precise control of the level sent out to the mixer, a pre/post EQ switch means you can route your XLR output before or after the EQ as required. The handy little mute switch is positioned on the front of the amp, so you can quickly cut the sound for those moments when you need to hear anything other than this fantastic bass tone. Packing an earth shattering 500W rms at four ohms or 300W rms at eight, the Little Mark IV definitely doesn't sound small.

The Little Mark IV still holds its iconic natural warmth and provides multiple ways to refine every little detail.
A four band EQ is a perfect place to start, giving you plenty of room to adjust with the ability to either increase or decrease each band up to 16dB, making the head easily customisable to suit any genre. For quicker access to the EQ, Markbass have included a three-way switch, letting you quickly change between a super-balanced flat tone, a scooped pre-set that boosts highs and lows while dropping the mids, or finally a footswitch option to control the mute and scooped EQ simultaneously.
No connectivity difficulty
Optimised so you can efficiently connect your devices, the Little Mark IV 300 U offers up a wide selection of connectivity options. An effects loop is situated on the back of the amp head, meaning that you can send the tonal influence of the amp to your effects, as opposed to just the raw signal of your bass, giving you more tonal variation. As you would expect, a standard unbalanced 1/4 “ jack input is featured on the front alongside a combo speaker output, which is featured on the back, alongside a standard DI line out. A tuner out connection also allows you to add a tuner into your setup, to ensure total tonal accuracy during every moment of the performance. It’s safe to say these features make this bass head extremely user friendly.
