Full Description

Legendary Overdrive Special tones at your feet

The Enigmatic '82 Overdrive Special Amp brings you the fabled tones of the Overdrive Special amp, used by legends like John Mayer and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Universal Audio meticulously captured these amps across three decades, including the original '70s Santa Cruz model and later Skyliner and Hot Rubber Monkey iterations. If you're seeking smooth, touch-sensitive overdrive or sparkling cleans, this pedal delivers the authentic sound and feel of these revered amplifiers.

Dial in perfect Jazz and Rock modes

The Enigmatic '82’s Jazz and Rock modes offer a wealth of tonal options, from silky smooth cleans to rich, dynamic overdrive. The Jazz mode delivers clean tones with cloud-like clarity, perfect for intricate chord work and expressive playing. Rock mode, on the other hand, offers creamy overdrive that responds to the subtlest nuances of your touch. These modes ensure that your playing always shines, whether you're riffing hard or playing clean.

Build your own boutique amp

For players looking to craft their own signature tone, the Enigmatic '82's Custom mode provides deep customisation via the UAFX mobile app. Adjust everything from preamp and tone stack mods to output tube bias and power supply stiffness. Create your own ODS voicing by mixing different mods like the '70s Santa Cruz or '90s Hot Rubber Monkey preamps, tailoring the amp's response to your playing style.

World-class mic and speaker modelling

The Enigmatic '82 offers nine expertly captured mic and speaker combinations, including three handpicked cabs and six bonus options. These speaker models, powered by UA’s award-winning Dynamic Speaker Modelling from the OX Amp Top Box, provide unmatched realism, allowing you to tweak your tone with studio-quality precision. The result is a dynamic, lifelike amp experience that perfectly complements the pedal's authentic overdrive and clean tones.
