This superb microphone set has been specially designed for use with drum kits, and each drum mic has been selected to match the different type of sounds from different parts of the kit. The exceptional frequency response of the large TA-8300 mic is specially designed for kick drums and low frequency instruments, the TA-8210 for use with tom-toms, and the TA-8200 for the snare drum.
The two PCM-5100 condenser mics have been specially designed to capture the sound of cymbals, making them perfect overhead mics. These condenser microphones can either be powered by Phantom Power, or by an AA battery, inserted in the integrated battery compartment inside the microphone shaft, for situations where Phantom Power is not available.
All of the microphone mounts are designed with a standard thread of 5/8" or 3/8" to match all types of microphone stand, with the condenser mics supplied with a removable clip, and foam windshields. The set is also presented in a lightweight, durable moulded case filled with anti-collision sponge for ultimate protection.
