DISC Kilohearts Phase Distortion

The Kilohearts Phase Distortion is perfect for adding frequency modulation to any sound, perfect for audio engineers, music producers and sound designers. Whether you want to create monstrous bass sounds or capture the sound of the 80s; Phase Distortion is a must-have for your digital effect collection. The simple and intuitive interface allows you to easily dial in the sound you want with six easy-to-use controls. Controls include Drive, Normalize, Tone, Bias, Spread and Mix. There is also a sidechain option that you can use to allow a secondary input to control the phase shift amount.

Unlike conventional distortion effects, Phase Distortion allows you to modulate the phase signal instead of changing the overall amplitude for a more controlled and varied sound, similar to feedback FM. You can easily create stereo-style effects using the spread to offset the phase for the left/right channels. Using the 'Tone' control you can also reduce high-frequency noise which is great for cleaning up signals and shaping your overall sound.
