Dual VCF/VCO

The Intellijel Korgasmatron II is a versatile Eurorack module that combines VCF/VCO capabilities with Xfade functionality. The Korgasmatron II moves on from its predecessor, setting its own precedent, with a range of new features and upgrades. One of the most prominent new upgrades is the independent six mode filter on either side of the module. The filter can be selected via a rotary switch. A new overdrive feature has also been added, allowing you to clip the output signal in ‘soft’ or ‘hard’ mode for interesting tones and results. The Korgasmatron also provides you with a wide range of in-depth controls and modulation points. It can achieve a range of sounds and tones using the various controls and switches, making it one of the most flexible modules available on the market.

Integrated XFade

The Korgasmatraon II also boasts an integrated xfade circuit, allowing you to blend between the two oscillators for even more tonal options. The xafade circuit is based in the middle of the module accompanied by two LEDs, providing independent attenuation for the dual circuits. You can also change the direction of the Xfade function using the two position switch for added versatility. The Xfade circuit is the same circuit found in the Intellijel Ufade Module, providing high-quality crossfading capabilities.

Filter Types & Inputs

As well as providing you with the ability to blend between the two VCF/VCO circuits, the Korgasmatron II also boasts six filter types per filter. The dual filters include 1 and 2 pole LP & HP filter, a 1-pole BP filter and a 1-pole band reject (notch) filter. The notch filter has been changed from the original for improved performance. The most unique feature of the Korgasmatron II is the ability to have extra inputs to each filter, with its own selectable filter type, independent of the main filter. This allow you to use two different filter at the same time with both signal coming out of the same output. This is ideal for complex layering and other creative possibilities. Additionally, both filters can track v/oct over 3-4 octaves, making for an exceptional VCO.

Design & Connectivity

The robust and ergonomic design of the Korgasmatron II, makes it ideal as a centrepiece for any modular system. Its multi-faceted design and functionality makes it the perfect module for creating and sculpting sounds. The module measures at 20HP in size and is also skiff friendly. There is also a dedicated switch, allowing you to toggle between serial or parallel routing. There is a resonance soft clipping control in for the form of a Q drive attenuator and all the knobs are bolted to the panel, ensuring optimal durability. With its versatile design, the module can achieve everything form classic MS20 sounds to cutting-edge tones.
