Key Features
Product Ref: 338956
With a 4 Valve Compensating System, the Coppergate enables you to play in lower octaves, and use less complicated fingerings, leading to a better sound and easier playing experience. This system has an improved range and greater dexterity than a 3 valve setup, with superior intonation, sound and overall playability.
The inside diameter (bore) of the Coppergate is small to medium-size (17.5mm), which requires less air to play than a large bore tuba, making this instrument very responsive, perfect for advancing tuba players. Yellow brass construction on the bell ensures good acoustic properties and helps the Coppergate produce a warm mellow sound.
Corrosion resistant Cupronickel tuning slides and stainless steel pistons guarantee that this tuba is designed for repeated use in a variety of environments and will give you the same high quality sound for years to come.
Complete with a strap and hard case with wheels, this tuba is ready to use in marching/brass bands or as part of an orchestra. The mouthpiece of the Coppergate connects directly to a straight lead pipe; a very comfortable design for marching. The durable case ensures that your new instrument will be thoroughly protected as you travel to and from performances.
