Gibson Firebird Guitars
The Gibson Firebird is one of Gibson's more radical body shapes, designed in the early 60s by Ray Deitrich, it aimed to improve upon the company's Flying V and Explorer models.
Often described as the 'curved Explorer', it has a reverse offset body, meaning the horn on the treble side is longer than on the bass side for greater reach and comfort, and the tuning keys are also on the opposite side of the headstock to most electric guitars.
